Mental Health Support Worker

A SEN school in Haringey is looking for a skilled therapist/counsellor who is willing to be trained in Draw and Talk Therapy. You will be part of an experienced team who will support your professional development as well as be part of vibrant and innovative learning communities. You will be supporting children with hearing impairment and additional needs such as ASD, motor difficulties, visual impairment, emotional and behavioural difficulties.

 

Position details:

· Mental health support worker to start ASAP

· For at least one academic year (potentially longer or permanent for right candidate)

· Full-time (Monday-Friday)

· Hours are 8:30am-4:00pm

 

The successful Special Needs Teaching Assistant will have:

· At least 3 months’ experience supporting special and additional needs with severe learning difficulties and hearing impairment

· Patience, empathy and resilience

· A psychology qualification or a keen interest in psychology, mental health and therapy as an advantage
